The Do This in Memory parish preparation programme for Confession and First Holy Communion commenced again on Saturday Sept 24^th at 6pm mass. 104 children in the parish accompanied by their parents and families attend the enrolment mass where thy promised to listen to those who were helping them to prepare for the sacraments. The parents promised to help and support their child with the preparation for the sacraments throughout the coming year. The whole congregation renewed their baptismal vows, which reminded everyone that as part of the family of God we had a responsibility to support, help and pray for the children.

At the beginning of the enrolment mass one child from each of the 6 schools brought a candle forward representing their school. This candle will be lit for each Do This in Memory mass throughout the year. 

The children were invited to the altar to make their promises and received a wonderful round of applause from the congregation.

Well done to all the pupils of Scoil Phadraig Naofa, Presentation Primary school, Scoil Bhrid Crossmahon, Scoil Sheosamh Laragh, Gael Scoil Droichead na Banndan and Bandon Bridge.
