Hamilton High School is a boys secondary school providing Junior and Leaving Certificate education over a range of subjects. Hamilton High pupils have gone on to obtain major academic success, especially in a recent survey in The Irish Times of where Ireland's 'Chief Executives' went to school. The School is situated off Allen Square to the north of the river in a periodic building dating to 1816. The school serves Bandon and surrounding parishes. The School is managed by the Hamilton Family and has a Catholic ethos.

The School was founded in 1940 by Sean Hamilton and is today managed by his son, Padraig. Hamilton High School has 300 students and 25 teachers (including 1 resource teacher).
